Let's talk about what it takes to succeed at freelancing as a web developer. One of the things that has served me well over the years, is being consistent and providing high attention to detail for my design oriented clients. Web developers aren't naturally gifted in the design department, at least the majority aren't anyway. That's why it's important to focus on font styles, padding margin, line height and the other small design details that most developers don't even notice. It's the key to building a long term relationship with a designer or design agency. Reach their level of detail, and you will have a long term stream of work from them. Why? Because you are the guy who delivers high quality work.
