This is a slow drum beat, a half-time rock pattern in 4/4 played at 38 bpm, followed by a 5 minute loop. With Sonor SQ2 drums/Pinstripe heads and a Craviotto/DW piccolo snare.
P.S. I really don’t like the sound of these heads on my drums...too dull. I was trying to cut down on the resonant ringing in my studio, but this is too much.
P.P.S. I was trying to come with something for 40 bpm and along came this weird beat. But it didn’t feel right at 40 bpm, so I had to slow it down a couple clicks.
