2024 Health Sciences Academy: Summer Experience
High school students from Chesapeake, Northampton and Portsmouth spent time on campus in July engaging in a comprehensive introduction to the field of medicine. The two-week summer program at the EVMS Health Sciences Academy marks the start of a longer-term initiative aimed at exploring medical careers. This tuition-free program featured lectures, workshops, and hands-on activities hosted at both Old Dominion University and the Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University.
