Yesten's Legacy - Evolution 2023
I didn't really see this year happen, but it did. I forgot that the time was passing to the point of forgetting to write a description for this album until today!
I changed this series name in to "Evolution" rather than "Diversity" as it better portrays what it's supposed to show.
Back in 2019, I expected this to be about shoving a bunch of diverse tracks that don't fit into other releases in an eclectic album, but I've realized that I may have found what I enjoy producing the most and it falls into a bunch of styles that are coherent enough to put them into cohesive albums. (Except for tracks based on music I hear in dreams, such as the 3rd and 4th tracks of this release as well as a track I forgot to polish to put it in this release due to me forgetting that the time was passing).
Since we're talking about "evolution", here is the chronological order of when I produced each track:

3 - Hazy Romance (I apparently started producing this the day I reached 22 years old lol)
4 - I'm Alone Playing in my Bedroom

8 - Aquatic Creatures (Synthwave Remix)

It was a dream in which I somehow came back into my elementary school and met a hot guy. We fell in love at first sight. (I don't know why we fell in love at first sight because I don't really seek romantic love and he was really not my type physically according to my taste when I'm awake, but whatever). We went to the beach. The end lol.
4 - I'm Alone Playing in my Bedroom
Someone (not me) was playing video games in their bedroom and their parents were worried because they did not come out of their bedroom for a long time. The singer of this song sounded like a female enka singer, but I cant sound that way lol.
Tracks that randomly came into my mind and I then kinda expanded on them:
1 - Special Caterpillar
→ The rhythmic synths that come right before I sing
5 - Game Changer
→ The melody and rhythms of the gamelan-inspired percussions as well as the tempo change and the EDM percussions (There were also a bunch of female singers singing (still in a very indonesian way) right after the gamelan part in the music I heard in my mind but it was difficult to add this part of the melody and to complete the track afterwards so I left it out)
6 - Scissors
→ The part that appears at the very beginning of the song and that stays in all of it and the vocal melody, although in my head it sounded closer to a mix of She and Daft Punk
7 - Future
→ Pretty much everything, down to the "Into the fire and into the rain" part of the lyrics

Johnny (it came from a dream in which he was an evil adult man from the 1960s comming to a high school on a scooter to scare people, and he got arrested by the police for no reason lol)
