EDIT TO FIX THE SERVER FROM CRASHING:
"ALRIGHTY, the command you run to start the server, (something like Java xmx*value* xms*value* etc.) establishes an ongoing connection, resulting in the the server shutting down when you shut command prompt/powershell. The solution is to write this command instead:
nohup java -Xmx20G -Xms8G -jar server.jar nogui &
Which starts the server, without connecting command prompt to the console. Hope this helps alot of people!!"
