Let's Craft: "Dead by Daylight" - The Twins' Gory Rusted Hooks

Today, I'll show you how to make The Twins' Gory Rusted Hooks from „Dead by Daylight“.
As soon as I saw the add for this cosmetic I knew I had to craft it, I just love those unusual weapons.
This project was pretty similar to Poseidon's Trident that you've already seen on the channel, but of course on a smaller scale, which makes fitting the pieces together seamlessly a bit harder.
And because I always have bad luck I marched to the craft store happily to get two kinds of rope (one for this project and a smaller diameter for something else), as well as some faux leather to put on the ring at the bottom of the Hook – only to find two almost empty rope spools and no leather lol. Picked up what was left of the rope and got lucky that it was enough for the Hook.
For the other project I'm not sure and I haven't checked, yet lol.
Mayhem continued when my silver spray paint ran out as planning isn't my strong suit at the moment. I substituted silver acrylic paint.
When the main hook piece was finished I realized that I had made exactly 0 plans for the rings at the bottom, and couldn't find anything in my trash stash to use. So polymer clay it is. I recon those rings from a drink bottle would do, sprayed silver of course, and some thin wire or an old ring / earring for the smallest ring.
So all in all this project was very interesting to me design-wise, and a great challenge to make up the pieces since my work-brain is constantly offline these days lol. Things have still not calmed down at home and we're looking at two or three more months of stress right now. Not the best prospect, but I'm trying to get work done whenever I can.
Aside from the monetary benefits, crafting also helps me escape the mess of life for a while.
This week I picked up something that had been sitting in my craft room for a full year. I started it and then just lost motivation, but now I'm determined to show you the finished piece before Halloween :D Hopefully it'll work with me, so stay tuned!
The work for our annual Halloween extravaganza will start next week and continue throughout the entire September, as this year's masks are a bit different and a lot bigger than ever before. I'm looking forward to it already :D
