Khustup is the highest peak of the Khustup-Katar Mountains with a height of 3201 m. People considered it a holy mountain and turned it into a place of pilgrimage from ancient times.
The Armenian national hero and military leader Garegin Nzhdeh is buried on the slopes of Mount Khustup, near a spring called Kozni.
