Shaki waterfall is one of the natural monuments of the Republic of Armenia.
Since the Middle Ages, an interesting legend was handed down about this beautiful waterfall on the Shaki River in Vorotan Gorge. According to the legend, a girl, named Shake, escaping from the enemy army, is entering the river. Suddenly a rock rises in the river, from which water begins to fall and hides Shake.

Շաքիի ջրվեժը Հայաստանի Հանրապետության բնության հուշարձաններից է։
Շաքի գետի վրա, Որոտանի կիրճում գտնվող այս գեղեցիկ ջրվեժի մասին հետաքրքիր լեգենդ է հյուսվել միջին դարերից, որի համաձայն՝ Շաքե անունով մի աղջիկ, փախչելով թշնամու բանակից, մտնում է գետակի մեջ։ Հանկարծ գետի մեջ ժայռ է խոյանում, որից սկսում է ջուր գահավիժել՝ թաքցնելով փրկել փախչող Շաքեին։
