The Schwarz
The Schwarz is a short film about the power of art to make a positive impact on our lives. It examines a sculpture, titled The Schwarz, by artist Ben Darby. He is primarily a painter, but also loves to work in 3D. Through photos and interviews, we learn about the artist’s journey of creating, displaying, and finally saying goodbye to a very personal sculpture. Two of Darby’s classmates from The Cornish School, Kris and Andi, share their insight. We also hear from Cathy, Ben’s wife, as well as his friend Mary, who helped sew The Schwarz.
