In 2024, a new chapter in history unfolds with Koshiro Matsumoto starring in 'Samurai Detective Onihei' SEASON 1. Following the January premiere TV special 'Lawless Love' and the first theatrical release 'Blood for Blood' on May 10th, the third and fourth installments of the continuous series will be aired consecutively on TV for two months.
In the third installment, 'Deku no Juzo,' the spotlight shifts to Juzo Ono, a subordinate of Heizo. Fire-watcher and thief-catcher constable Ono Juzo finds himself torn between 'emotion' and 'duty' after encountering a certain woman. While Heizo worries about Juzo, he also delves into the heart of the matter. What choices will Juzo make, and what feelings will Heizo harbor for his future? Taking on the role of Juzo Ono, who holds the key to the story, is Tokio Emoto, following his performances in 'Lawless Love' and 'Blood for Blood.' This portrayal adds another layer to the character previously played by Tokio Emoto's father, Akira.
From this series, Soko Wada will play the role of the thief Kosaburo, making his debut appearance. The scene where Kosaburo, full of righteousness and spirit, meets Heizo for the first time is a must-watch. Additionally, Ryoko Fujino will play the pivotal role of Ofuji, who greatly influences Juzo's fate, and joining the cast again from 'Lawless Love' is Isao Hashizume, among other distinguished guests.
