What is special about the UAZ Patriot? It is one of a small list of modern cars that contain units that need to be greased periodically. The classic is to grease the cardan shaft crosspieces and kingpins. The grease filling procedure is important, as the durability of this unit - the crosspiece - directly depends on it. The lubricant that you pump into the crosspiece is not as important as the systematicity of the procedure. When grease filling, old grease containing dirt, water and wear products is expelled from the crosspiece and replaced with fresh grease. The more often you grease the units, the longer they last.
