The BYD YangWang U8 – what a Jeep!
This hybrid SUV from the sub-brand of the Chinese auto giant BYD was unveiled at the Chinese Motor Show in Moscow. It has four electric motors, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that charges the battery, and all-wheel drive (of course). The car can, mind you, FLOAT and perform a tank-like U-turn (like the electric G-Class).
This giant has a maximum ground clearance of 240 mm, and this "beauty" costs... 22,900,000 rubles. "Only"!
Interestingly, the Chinese don't call this car's air suspension "air suspension": they call it a true "cloud chariot." Okay, enough, let's get down to business. Let's put it simply: it's some kind of "in-house development" by BYD Yangwang. It remains to be seen what it is. I wonder how much such a car would cost if it were supplied to us through official channels and if the competition on the market wasn't from China?
