📍Chempanoda A beautiful village with gorgeous rivers and valleys nestled near to mighty Western Ghats mountains. Village is close to the popular tourist destination Peruvannamuzhy.
This river in frame is Kadanthira puzha also known among locals as Chathiyan puzha (cheater in English) because of its unpredictable nature in monsoon season. With the heavy rains or lanslides on mountains ranges, the river quietly changes to fast currents and treacherous rapids.
We visited during monsoon, and raging river rapids splashing against rocks to form white foamy froth was a delightful sight.
