Greetings to all you video editing enthusiasts and directors! In this video, I'll show you that Magix Video Deluxe 2023 Premium has an irreparable flaw in the Position/Size menu item. Why am I saying this? Quite simply, for over a year now, the Position/Size menu item has been practically unusable. The culprit is the added "Anchor Point," which renders the Position/Size coordinate system unusable. Perhaps the anchor point would be a good invention if it didn't make the entire coordinate system for videos, images, masks, etc., impossible to implement, or only achievable with insurmountable negative calculations, thus rendering it unusable.
My advice is this: If you still own a Magix Video Deluxe version prior to 2022, do not update or upgrade. Anyone planning to buy a Magix Video Deluxe version should get an older version prior to 2022. As of April 4, 2023, Magix Video Deluxe 2021 Plus is still available for download on Steam.
I strongly advise Magix to listen to their customers and reinstate the old standards for position and size from the pre-2022 versions as soon as possible. The competition isn't sleeping, and free video editing software is constantly improving.
Furthermore, animating connected videos, images, masks, etc., is no longer possible, and the number of clicks required has increased significantly. I have repeatedly requested in numerous videos and livestreams that Magix fix these issues, and only minimal, patchwork changes have been made.
I can only advise Magix to listen to their customers and reinstate the software as quickly as possible. I don't deny that Magix is fundamentally faster and better at its core, but the Position/Size menu item is a disaster, and has been since version 2022.
