Popsicles and Icicles, recorded by The Murmaids, reached #3 on the charts in January 1964, becoming one of my favorite songs. I remember paying $1 for the single at my hometown's only record shop, located in the back of a downtown family owned furniture store. I remember playing it over and over on the stereo in our family room and dreaming of the boy I loved ... who became my husband in 1968!
