The east side of Oslo encompasses a large, diverse area, where food from all corners of the world, nightlife and cultural events meet the oldest chapters of Oslo’s history.
Just a couple of metres east of Oslo Central Station is the Grønland district with its pubs and modern bars, restaurants with food from all over the world, vegetable stalls with good-value produce and fabric stores.
From Grønland you can walk either to Tøyen where you find the Botanical Garden or Kampen with its charming ensemble of wooden houses.
