Hey guys! Today we have a video that I guess I totally forgot to edit and upload for you all! This mission was flown a couple months ago now in the DCS F-15E Strike Eagle as part of the Persian Gulf 1992 Event series, this was a PvP Multiplayer event with modern jets and fox 1’s and 2’s with limited fox 3’s and dissimilar aircraft on each side representing an American led coalition attacking and the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force Defending.
This was a very fun series of events and it was great to take part in a PvP event where the sides had different aircraft types and it wasn’t just everyone flying F-16’s and F/A-18’s! I think you’ll agree that this mission went very, very wrong, and hopefully that's why it’ll be fun for you guys to watch!
This mission was definitely a cautionary tale about the importance of support assets like TAC C2 And AIC Controllers and there is no way I would have been able to get in and hit the target after the air to air engagement flying any other aircraft than the F-15E Strike Eagle. Its massive amount of fuel capacity to allow for extended fast low level flying was absolutely key to being able to hit the target in the end.
