Civil 3D Profiles are sampled along an alignment and are used to show long section model data. A Profile View is used to display the profile data in your drawing.
There is a lot to unpack when it comes to Civil 3D long sections! In fact, we weren’t able to cover everything in our Civil 3D Profiles and Profiles View 101 webinar back in July.
To continue our deep dive into Profiles & Profile Views, we are presenting this follow up session to revisit pipe long sections and look at the elements that we weren’t able to include the first time.
In this webinar we’ll look at how to:
• Create Quick Profiles to view temporary long sections anywhere in your drawing
• Generate Profile Views from Pipe Network branches
• Add Crossing Linear Objects to a Profile View (these are great for showing side road alignments and profiles)
• Auto create a design profile from the existing surface using Best Fit Profiles
• Create Offset Profiles dynamically linked to the parent profile
