The best method to obtain all exotic class items is to open chests in the Landing. And to do that there is a convenient path you can always take to ensure you collect all 5 available chests per instance.
Following this path and reloading into the landing after collecting all 5 will net an exotic class item roughly per 15 minutes, with slight variation as this is luck dependant.
