Chapter 19: The Mountain Pass
Once upon a time, the pass through the Misty Mountains was a bustling trade route, connecting our people Anduin Vale with the rest of Middle-Earth.
The passage was one of the most important trade routes in the realm, providing a vital link between the Anduin Vale and the great cities beyond the mountains. Traders would bring exotic goods from far-off lands, and our people would offer up their own bountiful harvests in return. But with war came the need for caution, and the pass was closed to all travellers, lest we risk spies or saboteurs entering our lands.
But as the great war against the Orcs of Gundabad and those of Dol Guldur draws to a close and our enemies are defeated time and time again, perhaps the time has come to open the mountain passes once again.
Our builders have been hard at work, reinforcing and expanding our mountain strongholds. They will become a symbol of hope and connection, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, the people of the Anduin Vale can overcome any adversity and emerge stronger and more united than ever before. The threat of more bloodshed still looms on the horizon, but reopening would show us and our allies that there is a brighter future ahead.
