Google's AI-powered search engine is called Search Generative Experience (SGE). SGE uses Google's large language model to answer questions directly on the Google Search page. When you enter a query, a green or blue box will expand with a novel answer. Google cites the websites it used to generate the answer.
SGE is available as an opt-in experiment through Google's Search Labs initiative. To sign up, you can:
Scroll down to the “Help shape the future of information” section.
Click the Join Waitlist button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to sign up.
Wait for the confirmation email when access to the Labs project is granted by Google.
SGE is still in a “labs” preview, but it's almost certainly Google's future.
