What is wrong with Egg Fortress Zone act 2?

But for real, this happened to me randomly twice and I still have no idea why it even occurs but man was it annoying when it happened. I only recorded the bonus stage and the boss battle but it occurred sometime before either of those and I guess it might have been caused by me using the time stop power emerald ability but I have no idea.
Also sorry for final boss spoilers but the game has been out for seven days now so that's hopefully enough time for spoilers to not fully be a problem now.
