KDKA Celebrates 65 - radio documentary
This is an audio documentary about the history of KDKA Radio in Pittsburgh. KDKA's first broadcast on November 2, 1920 was the start of commercial broadcasting. On that historic night, the station aired the Harding-Cox presidential election returns. KDKA would later pioneer many firsts in broadcasting. This award-winning documentary first aired on Nov. 2 1985 for the station's 65th anniversary celebration. The narrator is Mike Pintek.
