The New Murabba project, a massive undertaking in Riyadh that is set to redefine the urban landscape and promote sustainable living. This project spans over 19 sq. km and aims to create a 15-minute walking radius, encouraging healthy lifestyles and community engagement.
With over 25 million sq. km of floor area, the New Murabba will feature 104,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, 980,000 sq. m of retail space, 1.4 million sq. m of office space, 620,000 sq. m of leisure assets, and 1.8 million sq. m of community facilities, making it one of the largest built structures in the world.
The iconic Mukaab, inspired by modern Najdi architecture, will be the world's first immersive destination, offering an experience created by digital and virtual technology, featuring the latest holographics. With its cutting-edge technology and innovative design, the Mukaab will be a landmark attraction that draws people from all over the world to experience the wonders of Saudi Arabia's culture and architecture.
The New Murabba project is part of the Public Investment Fund's strategy to diversify sources of income for the Saudi economy, and it is expected to add around $50 billion to the non-oil economy and create 334,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2030.
