This series features one of the oddest, coolest, wackiest instruments I own! It is a Casio DG-7 (digital guitar) from somewhere in the early 80s. I had to import this thing in from Japan! And I have not regretted one moment of it! It plays like a guitar, but has the function of a synthesizer. it is perfectly retro sounding and includes a drum machine and it is just the raddest piece of musical technology I have ever seen!
This video features the classic song Moondance. This is a jazzy number with a distinctive sound and vibe, so it was quite a challenge for this inaugural attempt at using this instrument. Check it out and let me know how you think it turned out!
