Cate Blanchett, Inaugural Ambassador for Wakehurst
Hear from Cate Blanchett about why she is delighted to have been invited to be the inaugural Ambassador for Wakehurst, Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex.
Blanchett wants to help spread the word about Wakehurst’s unique and stunning landscape that positively impacts all of our lives and is particularly interested in the Millennium Seed Bank which she describes as ‘A beacon of hope and international cooperation at a time when we’ve never needed it more’.
Already a regular Wakehurst visitor, Blanchett enjoys walks in the 535 acres of diverse and unspoilt landscape. “Wakehurst is a beautiful place to lose yourself in nature amongst trees & plants from all over the globe".
