I swear by these 3 awesome stretches for the tops of your feet.
You may not even know how much the tops of your feet need to be stretched until you try these! They feel soooo good, especially after a hike!
Many people have a ton of tightness on the tops of their feet - years of shoes with toe spring and heel rise can shorten the top of the foot stuff. This plays into hammertoes, loss of fat pads and plantar fasciitis so it’s worth working on!
Grab a half roller, a yoga block or even a firm cushion.
3 ways to play:
1️⃣ Press your big toe on the dome so it bends back towards the sole of your foot and apply a nice amount of pressure - no pain, but some discomfort is ok.
2️⃣ Press the tops of your four little toes on your dome and add some pressure
3️⃣ Put the whole top of your foot on your dome so the stretch moves up towards your ankle.
Yummmm!! I’ve also been doing a ton of foot rolling and ankle CARS after our recent hikes - both feel really good to my tired feet! If you’ve never worked on your feet after a hike, these are serious game changers!!!
