I love a good cheeseburger. Bad ones, not so much. I haven't actually counted, but I've easily cooked thousands of burgers. I worked in a restaurant on a flat top for several years long ago, and I've been making them at home ever since.
In this video, I'll show you my method of making 'pre-smash' burger patties and cooking them. This method is great for when you want to cook a lot of burgers quickly, or if you want to keep some patties on hand for a few days (and also be able to make them quickly). They come out a lot like a smash burger, but are a little easier in a way because you can control the 'smash' before you cook.
You can do this method in a frying pan or a flat top. Cooking on the grill is a bit different, and to be honest I'm not the biggest fan of flame-grilled burgers so I rarely make them.
I may do a smash burger video at some point if there's interest. Just let me know!
