Rescue on Pine Mountain!!!
Got a call from a mom and daughter stuck on Pine Mountain Observatory rd. They were visiting from Boston going skiing and adventuring in the beautiful central Oregon area. The were told by a local that it was clear of snow and a great place to see the stars at night. So, they drove up in the wilderness in the middle of the night to seek some adventure. Oh, and they found it. They ended up getting stuck in the snow and without any recovery gear they found themselves stranded. They were far enough out in the woods they had no cell service. So, they spent the night in the car. The next morning the walked down the mountain until they could call 911. Search and rescue were dispatched and picked them up. I meet them at the local gas station, and we headed up to get the vehicle. As the snow was melting my Wrecker was heavy enough, I was crushing the hard pack, so I put my tire chains on. After that we had no issue getting to the vehicle and getting it pulled out. We used my #yankumropes and Soft shackles to recover the vehicle. Please carry your recovery gear!!!!
