This song is inspired by a poem of the same name written by the late poet Shiv Kumar Batalvi. Imtiaz Ali, whether explicitly acknowledged or not, seems deeply influenced by Batalvi's works. Just as Batalvi's poems are soul-stirring, Ali's songs are equally healing. "Vida Karo" is an emotional journey, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, music composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman, and originally sung by Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi. I felt compelled to give it a try! I performed this live in front of my mic and became completely immersed in it.
