LUCY Drawing Tool Shines at NAEA 2024
At the 2024 National Art Education Association (NAEA) Convention in Minneapolis, the LUCY Drawing Tool made a memorable impact. Originally reinvented by Les Cookson after an inspirational college class, LUCY has largely been marketed to individual artists. However, with a growing number of schools purchasing sets for classroom use, we brought LUCY to NAEA, where it received an overwhelmingly positive reception. Our booth was constantly filled with art educators excited to see how LUCY encourages students to engage with and understand the fundamentals of drawing by forcing them to see and draw objects as they truly are.
