Here are my tips for new Everdale players.
1. Keep eye on bottom screen
Keep workers always busy, if there is blue workers, that means they are idle!
2. Micromanage your village
You can easily drag and drop all structures, but not kitchen. Example if you need to collect more wood, move your wood storage next to woods that you cut, so it takes less time from villager to move between cutting wood and storage.
If you are building something that cost clay, you can move your buildable structure next to clay pit and have one villager working with clay and other working on new building.
3. Careful using boost
I recommend using boost on things that gets done fast, like collecting mushrooms or berries, you only need to use your boost couple seconds that way. Every task that takes tens of minutes I just let the game run background without boost.
Also make sure to stop BOOST asap when worker gets idle status!
4. Prioritize things that TRADER needs.
Try to get all things done in day that the TRADER needs, so you can get chest reward
5. Prioritize Study
6. Always one worker at Pumpkins.
