Learning when to use an apostrophe is actually very easy. It involves just two apostrophe rules. First, use an apostrophe to indicate possession. Second, use an apostrophe where there is a contraction, e.g. We will - contraction we'll. An exception to this is the word 'its'. The possessive form doesn't take an apostrophe but when it is used as a contraction for 'it is', then an apostrophe is used - it's.
➡️The video contains numerous illustrated sentence examples for the apostrophe rules listed above. Using pictures with sentences is a powerful way to learn anything. As the brain thinks in pictures, seeing an image with an associated sentence makes a deep impression on the mind and memory, making it much easier to recall the apostrophe rule.

Mastering apostrophes ensures that writing is more precise and professional, which is especially important in formal communication like academic or business writing. Additionally, learning to use apostrophes correctly is important because it helps clarify meaning in writing. As noted above, incorrect apostrophe use can lead to confusion or misunderstanding. For instance, "its" (possessive) and "it’s" (contraction for "it is") have different meanings, and using the wrong one can affect the clarity of a sentence.
