Brazil has a population of around 212 million people—that's a lot of people! Because of this, the country is very diverse, with many people of different religions, races, colors, educational backgrounds, and various other statistics that the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) likes to show us.
But, because these numbers are so large, it can be a bit difficult to understand what they mean and to imagine what the Brazilian population really looks like.
So, to make things easier, let's reduce Brazil's population from 212 million to just 100 people, but let's keep the proportions the same to better understand who Brazilians are.
