late Tectonics Theory – A relatively new theory, around 50 years old!
It began many years ago as the theory of continental drift, when European scientists noticed that the coastlines on both sides of the Atlantic fit together like pieces of a puzzle.
The plate tectonics theory states that the lithosphere is not a continuous shell, but rather a fragmented layer that moves over the asthenosphere.
In this video, we discuss the types of plates (continental and oceanic), the types of boundaries (convergent, divergent, and transform), and their main characteristics.

If you have any questions, just leave them in the comments!
