Who is Vishwas Nangre Patil? Vishwas Nangre Patil was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 1, South Mumbai at the time of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks. He led a team formed to counter the terrorists at the Taj Hotel in Colaba and killed one terrorist.
IPS Vishwas Nangre Patil is a 1997 batch officer and passed the UPSC exam at the age of 25. He currently holds the position of Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai City. He has also served as the Commissioner of Police of Nashik City.
IPS Vishwas Nangre Patil's journey was not easy. Coming from a village and once a UPSC aspirant, he has also received the Police Medal from the President. He displayed exceptional bravery in counter-terrorist operations during the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
