Pokemon Violet: Slay or Nay?
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were released this November for the Nintendo Switch, getting mixed results from many game review outlets because of its performance issues and overall lack of polish. However, that’s not the only thing we’re looking at today. I want to know if Pokemon Violet is a SLAY or NAY.
One of the most exciting new features in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the inclusion of Tera typings. They allow Pokemon to temporarily transform into different types, allowing for new resistances and STAB moves to be used. This new feature is sure to add a new level of strategy to battles and make the gameplay even more exciting.
Another new feature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the introduction of new Pokemon species. The games bring the National Dex to a total of over 1000 different Pokemon, including new legendary Pokemon. This will give players even more options when building their teams and trying to catch them all.
The games will also include new areas to explore, such as cities, towns, and routes. Although the cities feel barren and without life due to the development team not having the time to create a robust environment. Players will also be able to discover new items and battle new trainers as they explore the game's world.
The graphics in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have also been updated from Sword/Shield, although only slightly. This will bring the game world to life in a whole new way and make the Pokemon look even more realistic. The open world adds new gameplay elements and gives each Pokemon more personality because players can see them in the overworld. This makes it easier to find Shiny Pokemon, even though it may be difficult to spot some of them. There isn’t an audio cue like there was in Pokemon Legends Arceus.
Overall, I think Pokemon Scarlet and Violet could have been the best in the series if the team behind it spent time on the finer details. With new features and updated graphics, these games are sure to provide players with hours of fun and adventure as they explore the world of Pokemon.
