World Domino Collective 2025 – Milestones in 1,000,000 Dominoes!!
Celebrating 15 years of the Dutch Domino Team—one of the many #milestones featured in this year’s theme. Alongside this legendary milestone, we present 5 more subthemes that showcase the moments that have shaped history:
Sports – Records and moments that changed sports forever, such as the Fosbury Flop, the most goals scored in football/soccer, and the Triple Crown achievement, which only one racing driver has ever reached.
Civil Engineering – From ancient structures like Stonehenge to modern skyscrapers: the foundational milestones that shaped our history. We also honor the marvels of engineering that made the Netherlands possible—and by extension, this domino event—by highlighting the waterworks.
Life – Personal milestones that mark our journey through time: being born, riding a bike for the first time, starting and finishing school, building relationships, and bringing new life into the world.
Inventions – Crucial moments in history! Thanks to these inventions, life as we know it today became possible. The first hot air balloon that made flight possible, the lightbulb that illuminated progress, and the radio that revolutionized communication.
The Industrial Revolution – The well-known era that rapidly advanced production and distribution. Clothing, steam trains, mineshafts, and factories—all were stepping stones to modern production and global transportation.
The Finale – Our own milestone of 1,000,000 dominoes. A feat achieved by no other domino group since Domino Day. What was once a dream is now a reality and an everlasting memory.
