If I were you I’d be tired of me,
Telling the world of your presence while wishing you were history.
After all, this is Diabetes Awareness Month,
So you’re definitely going to be at the forefront.
Yesterday was a successful day at the National Library,
In which I get to encourage others to be wary.
To be wary of giving your entrance consent,
A decision which they could later come to resent.
World Diabetes Day brought a lot of activity,
Which highlighted your effects and capability.
The work to bring awareness is not done,
But at least on you, some light was shone.
