ViktorZin - Quantum Foam [Ambient Guitar]
Quantum Foam is the title track for my upcoming Lo-Fi Hip Hop inspired Album! It's a calming and relaxing aural- and visual experience. It's meditative, ambient, soothing music for concentration and studying, or something you can blast on loop in the background! (please do!)
I started working on this album when I first quit my job, with the intention of making my prog metal debut album. But all the music that came out of that was very calm, and meditative. I assume that my body needed to relax from all the job related stress. I worked on the Quantum Foam Album on and off over the last year and am in the final stages of mixing it. the album will come out at the end of the year. The music will be similarily soothing and relaxed, but the title track is quite different from the rest.
This song means a lot to me. It sounds pure, peaceful and beautiful. Whenever I listen to it I see myself floating in space, Which the music video reflects. I am very proud of all of this, it is my best video yet!
Although it sounds like a fairly simple song, it's actually not! The Song is in 5/4, the low bells play a five note melody, which the high bells repeat in double time, so the melodies loop over each other, which is really cool!
also, there is a hidden polyrhythm! if you listen closely to the left speaker, you will hear a shaker that is going against the grain. Also, this is a pain for the left hand to play! the first three chords are ok, but the fourth chord is almost unplayable. I know it doesn't look difficult at all...
The Fourth Chord is irregular. the easiest explanation is strings and frets. B3 E2 AOpen D4 G2 E2
(you skip the high B string). a terrible chord to hold. I know there are other ways to play it, but then you have to mute the notes halfway through, and the chord doesn't ring out fully.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video! The Full Album will come out sometime in December most likely. I might make an extended version of this song, for easier looping, depending on how this video does.
