Testing a 2024 Mac Mini M4 running Ableton 11 ATEM Switcher and OBS - Live modular TLPMMF06D04113
Heads up - this is a live modular synth jam not a Mac Mini walk through. The little silver box is doing some seriously impressive processing - simultaneously recording 14 channels of audio and 3 cameras. (OK the ATEM switcher is doing the camera heavy lifting, but still, its impressive.)
Prior to the Mac Mini, my studio machine was a 2012 MacBook Pro that was on it's last legs. When creating vids I'd record into Ableton on that machine and use a different machine to record the video then stitch them together. This was the first recording on my new Mac Mini - recording both the audio and the video on one machine. There's a smidge of audio interference that I need to track down the origins of, but apart from that it worked perfectly (big phew as it's bought now).
