Photography genres aren’t unique — they’re just music genres with cameras. Street is Jazz, Weddings are Pop, Landscapes are Ambient… and yes, Fine Art is Avant-Garde nonsense.
As a former sound engineer turned photographer, I can’t help but notice the parallels between photography and music. In this video, I break down six photography genres and match them to their musical twins — with plenty of satire, bad hats, and even a Lo-Fi interlude made from camera shutters.
