Black History Month Challenge
Hi everyone! In this video, I'm sharing an exciting new sewing challenge. I'm happy to announce along with the host (and brain child!), Nateida (aka Naturaldane on instagram & YouTube). This challenge is called #BHMPatternDesigners and it stands for Black History Month Pattern Designers and YES this is a challenge dedicated to African American Pattern designers during the month of February, Black History Month. While the purpose of this challenge is to showcase and highlight African American pattern designers, ***it is open to the entire sewing community no matter your race, gender, or where you live in the world!! (Challenge is open Internationally!)****
PRIZES:
1st Place Prize: $75 e-gift card from Sew Much Fabric, A pattern of your Choice from
Style Sew Me and A My Daily Threadz Sew Plan It Planner
2nd Place Prize: 2 Yards of Fabric from Firabella Fabrics, Tory Coat pattern from Montoya Patterns and Copy of Sewn Magazine
3rd Place Prize: Knit Pattern from Bayron Handmade, Clara Handbag pattern from LejanaroBPatterns and a bag of notion goodies!
THE RULES ARE SIMPLE:
1. Must tag both myself (@OneSewSweet) and Nateida (@NaturalDane) on Instagram and you must use the #BHMPatternDesigners in order for your entry to be counted.
2. You must use a pattern from any Black pattern designer. This also includes pattern designers such as Andrea of Sew-To-Fit, McCall Pattern Company Black designers which include Beaute'J'Adore and Khaliah Ali.
3. Garments must be sewn and posted between February 1 and February 28th. THAT'S IT!
We will choose winners the first week of March and announce the winners here on YouTube and post a social media graphic of the winners on Instagram.
