New frog dancing and singing song
Frogs begin their lives in the water as eggs and then tad poles and when they are fully developed they live on land.Scientists believe that there are more than 4,000 different kinds of amphibians on Earth.Toads newts salamander and carnelians (blind worms) are also members of the amphibian group.
The biggest clue is that in almost all frog species only males call.In fact that noise you hear in your backyard pond local creek or dam is a sweet serenade male frogs calling to attract female frogs. From high pitched whirring to a deep “bonk” or an insect like chirp male frogs sing to attract their own kind.In most frog species only the males croak. They croak to attract female frogs for breeding and to warn away other male frogs from their territory.Female frogs think croaking is very interested. Many kinds of frogs puff themselves up enormously with air when they croak.
On male their eardrum is the same size as the eye.Frogs have very powerful back legs and webbed feet that help them jump great distances as well as swim.Frogs even use their legs to dig or burrow under ground for hibernating.Certain frogs can jump up to 20 times their own body length in a single leap.
Frogs spend their lives near water and eat insects, small fish, earth worms and spiders. They hunt mostly at night and use their sticky tongue to catch food such as flies or other insects.Frogs communicate with other frogs using a variety of compl.ex calls like ribbets, croak or other sounds.
