Lido Key + St Armands Circle after Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Milton made landfall as a CAT 3 hurricane just south of Lido Key on Siesta Key in October 2024. In this video we drive from downtown Sarasota, over the John Ringling Causeway, through St. Armands Circle before walking out on Lido Beach. We did drive to the south end of the island, South Lido Beach was closed.
This area has been hit by 2 hurricanes in the past month. Helene severely flooded the barrier islands in Sarasota County and then Milton brought hurricane force winds.
