These are some of the errors that I frequently see when using PowerPoint templates.
Not adding the brand colour palette properly.
Not adding the brand font properly.
Not inserting images and pictures properly
But the biggest error is not stripping the PowerPoint variants. We need to remove them first when creating a template.
