Van Halen Mean Street Intro Cover (FAIL)
After a bunch of listening to the Fair Warning album and messing around with my Archetype Tim Henson plugin I attempted to get a tone somewhat like the EVH Brown sound.
Yes I know the Archetype TH amp is based off a JCM800 and not a Marshall Superlead like what Eddie used. The plugin has a lot of features like a 9 band eq, mic placement so that can help to some extent. And I also know the tube amp purists and snobs will say it’s nothing like a real amp or some bullshit but guess what! I don’t care. Still working out the kinks and considering I’m just using my ears and with a bit of of trial and error, I got a sound that I like. It’s not perfect and neither is my playing so bear with me 😅.
