In this video, I take a look at the new auto-scrolling timeline feature in Final Cut Pro 10.7. I show you how to turn it on and then discuss how it works. I also talk about the pros and, in my opinion, the cons of the implementation.
I'm really impressed with how the auto-scrolling timeline feature has been implemented. It's a great way to keep track of the playhead during playback, and it's very well implemented. The scrolling is smooth and consistent, and the timeline updates automatically as the playhead moves. There are, however, a few limitations that I think are worth mentioning.
Overall, I think the auto-scrolling timeline feature is a great addition to Final Cut Pro, with what I consider to be a best-in-class implementation!
