I was given permission to publicly release the footage taken during my time learning the most widely spoken language in Dimension 78H. I'll admit, I was rather naive when I jumped into this thinking the language would be easy... But I definitely wasn't prepared for how stressful of an experience it ended up being! Every phrase carried so much weight far beyond its literal meaning, with cultural context and social rules that I had to navigate on top of it all.
I hope this video can serve as documentation for future linguists trying to do field research over there! ...and make sure to bring your own food.
