Tambov | Derzhavin, Composers, and Wolves
Tambov seems to rarely appear in the news; life here moves along slowly and naturally. It's not very far from the bustling capital, just an overnight train ride away. But this relative remoteness hasn't prevented many famous and lesser-known figures from passing through the city throughout its history, especially musicians and composers who have made enormous contributions not only to Russian but also to world music.
